When will I need to advise my final numbers and payment?

Final numbers and payment will be due five (5) working days prior to your wedding.

Do you have a price list and menus?

Yes. Please contact the centre on (07) 4699 6500 or email: highfields.cultural@toowoombaRC.qld.gov.au for a wedding package.

What does your room hire include?

Your room hire includes the following:

* personal and professional planning with our team

* use of room booked for up to 6 hours

* air conditioned comfort

* white linen table cloths and napkins on all tables

* white skirting on bridal table

* lectern and cordless microphone

* sound system and PA system

* dance floor

* clothed and skirted cake table

* use of silver cake knife, if required

* clothed and skirted presents table

* tea and coffee available to your guests for the full duration of your function

* table service until dessert is served

* room lighting to match your colour or theme

Can I make a tentative booking?

Yes. Tentative bookings will be accepted at the discretion of the Centre Coordinator and will be held for a period of 14 (fourteen) days. If the Highfields Cultural Centre should receive enquiries for a date that is tentatively booked, the contact person for the tentative booking will be notified and given first preference to confirm their reservation. A deposit of $650.00 for the room hire is required to secure your booking.

Does the Highfields Cultural Centre accmmodate children?

Yes. Children meals are available at a cost of $12.50 per child. A range of menus are available including spaghetti bolognaise, ham and pineapple pizza, crumbed fish or chicken nuggets. All children’s meals are served with chips and salad with ice -cream and topping for dessert. Children meals are suitable for children twelve and under.

The centre has two highchairs and two booster seats available for use. Please let the centre know if you require these services, prior to the evening.

Can I provide my own catering and beverages?

No. The Highfields Cultural Centre is a licensed premises and no outside food or beverages (alcoholic or non alcoholic) are permitted by the event organiser or their guests.

Can I have both my ceremony and reception at the Highfields Cultural Centre?

Yes. We are able to offer the convenience of having your ceremony and reception at the same venue.

Our outdoor area with lush green grass and surrounded by stately trees is the perfect backdrop for your garden wedding.

The centre also has an indoor area to move your ceremony should the weather become undesirable.

What are your opening hours? How do I book an inspection?

The centre is open Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm. The centre is also available outside these times.

Can you suggest accommodation nearby?

Country Comfort Toowoomba offers 4 star accommodation in the heart of Highfields. Only a 5 minute drive from the Centre, the hotel features 24 stylish appointed guests’ rooms.

There are also a range of B&B’s in the area for more information, please contact the centre to discuss your requirements.

Is there parking on site?

There are over 60 parking spaces on site. There is also a bus pick up and drop off service located nearby.

A range of transportation options are available to guests of the centre, please contact centre staff to discuss your requirements.

How do I find the Highfields Cultural Centre?

Directions to the Highfields Cultural Centre

Travel north from Toowoomba along Ruthven Street (this becomes the New England Highway).

At Highfields, turn left at the second set of lights, Highfields Road, past the BP and shell service stations.

After 1.6km, the Highfields tavern will be on the corner turn right on to O’Brien Road.

The Cultural Centre is on the left past the shopping centre. Car parking is available by turning into Lauder Drive.

Only 10 minutes from Toowoomba but a world apart..
